Candice Kemp is the founder and director of Inertia Performing Arts Center. She attended Baltimore City College High where she was a member of the BCC Dance Ensemble. During this time she studied intensively with Experimental Movement Concepts and its performing company perfecting various dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip hop. After graduation Candice went on to Temple University in Philadelphia, where she had a concentration in Graham technique (under Kun Yang Lin) and Classical Ballet. She returned to Baltimore to teach Classical Ballet, Modern, and Hip Hop, and to continue her dance education at CCBC as a member of their dance company. In 2009 Candice became a member of the professional dance company Poetic Xpressions, both as a dancer and a member of their Advisory Board. Candice's teaching background includes Experimental Movement Concepts (MD and PA locations), Friends School, AFYA Charter School, Towson University's Hip Hop Club, and a host of outreach and after school programs. Her entrepreneurial spirit paired with her experience as dancer/teacher/choreographer, helps brings a unique sense of style and love of movement to Inertia Performing Arts.
